The Catholic community of Titerroy celebrated this Wednesday, May 1, the festivity of the patron saint San José Obrero.

At 11:00 a.m. the Eucharist began, presided over by Juan Manuel Molina, parish priest of Teguise and assisted by Manuel Arencibia, parish priest of Titerroy, Juan Carlos Medina, parish priest of San Ginés and Rafael Tejera, parish priest of Tiagua. The songs for the celebration were enlivened by the choir of the parish of San Francisco Javier.

For such a special day, the church showed off its best clothes, with the image of San José Orero presiding over the throne. From the early hours of the morning, the neighbors were occupying the seats enabled until completing the capacity of the only nave that the church has.

At the end of the Eucharist, the image of San José Obrero toured the main streets of the neighborhood, enlivening the entire route the members of the music band 'La Unión Musical de Lanzarote', directed by Professor Alfonso Duro Cabezón, followed by the celebrating priests and the parishioners. Before passing through the portico of the church, the image of San José Obrero was dismissed with cheers and applause.
