The Tías City Council, through the Department of Culture managed by Pepa González, offers this weekend a series of activities that invite citizens to enjoy the performing arts, music and photography. From March 27 to 29, the municipality will be filled with talent and creativity at the Municipal Theater and the Tías Hermitage.
Coinciding with the celebration of World Theater Day, the students of the Lanzarote Center for Performing Arts (CAEL), based in Tías, will take the stage today with the play Entre candilejas, a performance in which the public will be able to learn about the scenic world and feel the emotions experienced by actors and actresses. The performance will take place at 8:00 p.m. at the Tías Municipal Theater.
In addition, the Troysteatro group will present on Friday the impactful play La Educada Visita, a text by the playwright Antonio Noceda Arias. With an enveloping staging and a dark and intriguing tone, this performance promises to captivate the viewer from the first moment. The performance will be at 8:00 p.m. at the Tías Municipal Theater, with free admission until full capacity.
On Friday at 5:00 p.m. a free photography workshop called Discover the heritage of Tías through the lens will be held at the Tías Hermitage. The workshop will be taught by photographer Gustavo Medina and requires prior registration in the email [email protected]. There will also be other photography workshops in April, May, August and September.
Finally, the renowned singer-songwriter Andrés Molina will offer on Saturday a special day with a songwriting workshop entitled Ellas y Ellos También Escriben Canciones at 11:00 a.m., where participants will be able to explore their musical creativity. To culminate this cultural celebration, at 8:00 p.m., the artist will offer the concert CancioMAS y PoeNES – Versos Musicados Sin Ton Ni Son, fusing poetry and music in an unforgettable evening.
Pepa González encourages citizens to attend these cultural events and recalls the success of Cruce de Caminos, a concert offered last night by Benito Cabrera, José Vicente Pérez, Adrián Niz and Tomás Fariña, in addition to the performance by the Miguel Navarro de Ballets de Tenerife company offered last Saturday at the Municipal Theater and the poetic recital in El Fondeadero.
