The Tías City Council expresses its sincere gratitude to the festival committees of Masdache and Conil for the organization and development of the first joint popular pilgrimage in honor of Santa María Magdalena, held on Saturday, July 19. A historic event that brought together the residents of both towns for the first time in an emotional journey from the hermitage of La Magdalena, in Entre Montañas, to Masdache.

The mayor of Tías, José Juan Cruz Saavedra, wishes to publicly recognize "the enormous effort of the festival committees of Masdache and Conil, who have made this very special pilgrimage possible, full of symbolism and unity." He also emphasizes that "this type of initiative strengthens the ties between sister towns and reflects the best of our traditions and our people."

For her part, the Councilor for Festivities, Miriam Hernández, confirms that "the pilgrimage was a resounding success, not only for the participation and organization, but for the atmosphere of joy, respect and coexistence that was experienced at all times. It is a pride to see how our festivals evolve without losing their essence, thanks to the work of those who make them possible."

Upon arrival in Masdache, the Tías City Council and the Masdache Festival Committee offered a very emotional recognition to Marcial Hernández Fontes (Cialo), a resident of the town who has always participated with his cart in this lively pilgrimage. He was given a commemorative image and a replica of a cart as a token of his involvement.

The town council also congratulates all the pilgrims who participated with enthusiasm and festive spirit, contributing to an endearing day full of tradition, music and devotion. The generosity of the residents, the careful preparation of carts and offerings, and the shared joy to the rhythm of parrandas, marked this inaugural edition of a pilgrimage that promises to consolidate itself as a benchmark of brotherhood between both communities.

The government group extends special thanks to all the groups, musical groups, volunteers and security personnel who made this celebration possible.
