The municipality of Tías will dress up from May 31 to June 15 to celebrate the awaited San Antonio 2025 Festivities, an event that includes cultural, sports, musical, and traditional activities. The program highlights the II Gastronomic Fair by Sporting Tías, the family festival Tirititías, and the El Pavón Popular Music Gathering, which structure the celebration.
The starting signal will be on Saturday, May 31, with a double cultural event. On one hand, the performance of the play Los Mendigos, by the Center of Performing Arts of Lanzarote (Cael), in the Municipal Theater. On the other hand, the expected ToñoRock, which will gather in the Plaza El Pavón groups like Boikot (Madrid), Faktótum, K+tharsis, and Nietos del Vicio (Lanzarote) in a night of rock and energy that has already become an island reference.
The second big event will arrive on Friday, June 6, and Saturday, June 7, with the celebration of the II Gastronomic Fair, organized by Sporting Tías in the Francisco Bermúdez “Pancho” soccer field. The fair will include zumba classes, children's activities, a popular parranda, and concerts by artists like Los Coquillos, Pepe Benavente, Dani Valiente, and DJs Javi Fajardo and Ángel Pérez, among others.
Another pillar of this edition will be the Tirititías festival, dedicated to the little ones and the performing arts. The Plaza El Pavón will host this event from June 12 to 15, with morning and afternoon performances that invite families to enjoy theater, creativity, and fun.
As a grand finale, on Saturday, June 14, the traditional El Pavón Popular Music Gathering will be held, in its twenty-eighth edition. An afternoon to pay tribute to Canarian popular music and close the festivities in style.
The Councilor for Festivities, Miriam Hernández, emphasizes “the enthusiasm and work behind these festivities, which are an opportunity to reinforce our identity and bring the entire community together around culture, music, and tradition.” Hernández specified that “this year's program is designed for all audiences, with quality, free, and accessible proposals that will allow us to enjoy Tías with joy and in coexistence.”
Along with these highlighted events, the program includes a varied offer that ranges from children's shows like Disney Magic (on June 2 and 3), concerts like the Cool Moon Fest or the cello and piano concert by the Nino Díaz Foundation, to a complete sports agenda, with championships of envite, chinchón, and dominoes, and the XVII Francisco Bermúdez "Pancho" Football Memorial, with cadet category.
Proposals for young people and adults will also be offered, such as the monologue Date with your sexologist by Silvia Pérez, dance exhibitions by the MtDance school and the Beatrice Senent academy, as well as the final exhibition of the students of the Center of Performing Arts of Lanzarote.
In the religious aspect, on Friday, June 13, the solemn function will be celebrated in honor of San Antonio, followed by the traditional procession through the streets of the town center, accompanied by the Musical Union of Lanzarote and the Gaida folklore group. That same day, the theater performance by the Faranduleando group and a lively polka battle in the Plaza El Pavón have been programmed.
