With the arrival of summer, and the month of July, the Villa de Teguise is decorated to celebrate the festivities in honor of 'Nuestra Señora del Carmen'. Last Saturday at 7:30 p.m. the Eucharist was celebrated, presided over by the parish priest of Teguise, Juan Manuel Molina, and the songs for the celebration were enlivened by the 'Coral Polifónica de La Villa' of Teguise, directed by Professor Nuvi Tavio.

Once the Eucharist was over, the image of Nuestra Señora del Carmen was placed in the portico of the church to receive the offerings of non-perishable products that were deposited next to her throne by councilors of the Local Corporation, representatives of cultural groups and anonymous neighbors, products that were delivered to Cáritas Parroquiales to be distributed to the most vulnerable families in the municipality.

The event ended with the offering made by the 'Agrupación Folclórica Guagime' of Tahíche, who, apart from their products, also sang and danced the most representative of the Canary Islands.
