The salt carpets for Corpus Christi in Arrecife have dawned full of trampling and car tracks.

The lack of permanent surveillance on Saturday night to Sunday has meant that some heartless people have spoiled the work of more than twenty groups who worked throughout Saturday to make them look this Sunday, June 19. It is not the first time that it has happened, as in other years they have been destroyed.

The councilor of Nueva Canarias, Armando Santana, was indignant on social networks with this attack on the traditions of our island. "The big problem is called incivility, I feel real pain and shame," laments Santana. "We live in a sick society, we give normality to the daily burning of cars, garbage containers, destruction of heritage, attacks on street furniture, the problem is not the lack of police, which of course must be increased as allowed by law, the big problem is called incivility", he sentenced.
