The Granada band La Guardia, responsible for the hit Cuando brille el Sol (1990), will perform this August at the festivals in honor of San Ginés de Arrecife. Thus, the Andalusian musical group born in the eighties will join the Malaga artist Pablo Alborán, who will also participate in the festivities of the capital of Lanzarote.
The group will perform at the San Ginés festivals next Friday, August 21. Although for the moment it remains to be revealed who will perform on the big day of the festivals, August 25.
The musical group has fifteen albums in its discography in its more than forty years of history. Their first album Noches como esta was released in 1986, while the latest is from last 2025. A year ago and under the name Ruta 40, they released their latest live album.
Cuando brille el Sol (1990) and Mil calles llevan hacia ti (1988) are the band's two best-known songs. The first has accumulated more than 42 million streams on Spotify. To these are added other hits such as El mundo tras el cristal.

La Guardia thus joins the Malaga artist Pablo Alborán, who is scheduled to perform next Saturday, August 15, at the local festivals.
