The Department of Festivals of the Arrecife City Council is considering bringing the Málaga artist Pablo Alborán to the San Ginés festivals planned for this August. The Andalusian is one of the names the council has on the table to liven up the most crowded festivals in the capital of Lanzarote.

As La Voz has learned, the council is considering Alborán performing at its patron saint festivals, but not on August 25, the biggest day of Sangineles, but on another date scheduled throughout the month. Therefore, it remains to be revealed who would close these celebrations, as well as the rest of the programming.

In principle, the Arrecife City Council plans for Pablo Alborán's concert to be on Saturday, August 15. The artist has seven albums in his discography, plus four special or extended editions of these records and a live acoustic edition. The musician responsible for hits like Saturno or Solamente Tú has 12.9 million listeners on Spotify.

In recent years, the San Ginés programming has included different musical performances throughout the festivals, while always preparing a big performance for the end.

For example, in 2022, Luis Fonsi performed on the biggest day of the festivals, but Edwin Rivera, Tonny Tun Tun, and Bertín Osborne also did. In 2023, it was Gente de Zona; in 2024, it featured performances by Camela, El Arrebato, RVFV, Abraham Mateo, and the Colombian Sebastián Yatra to close the festivals; in 2025, Soge Culebra, Antoñito Molina, and Maikel Delacalle performed on the island, as well as the Mexican Alejandro Fernández to bid farewell to the celebrations.
