The Agustín de la Hoz House of Culture hosted this Friday a successful concert organized by Cultura Arrecife and starring the duo formed by the majorero Silvestre Ramírez and the grancanario Misael Jordán, accompanied by the Lanzarote singer Ciro Corujo and the Tenerife singer Candelaria González, who offered a show full of sensitivity, virtuosity and deep roots in the musical traditions of the Canary Islands and Latin America.
“It has been an extraordinary night in which four great performers of our popular music have moved the audience with a repertoire of enormous quality. From the Arrecife City Council we want to congratulate them for this show and also thank the excellent response from the public, who filled the Casa de la Cultura to enjoy Canarian music and that of South American roots,” highlights the Councilor for Culture, Abigail González.
Titled ‘Instrumental Music and Voices in Concert’, the recital allowed the numerous attending public to enjoy in a close and intimate format the musical talent of these four outstanding performers from the Archipelago, in a show in which the mandolin, the lute, the guitar and the timple vindicated the artistic value of string instruments in the musical tradition of both sides of the Atlantic.
