Last Sunday night, the Hotel San Antonio was the stage to welcome the 22 delegations of Barman Associations from various peninsular and insular provinces that participate in the LXIX National Cocktail Competition.
The first contact of the delegations began with a welcome cocktail in the hotel gardens next to the large pool, magnificent facilities that will be the main headquarters of the delegations during the days of the competition that will last until December 6.
At 10:00 p.m. the presentation began where each of the participating delegations made their entrance into the dining room carrying the flag of the community they represented while listening to the tune of an identifying song with each community and as they passed they were greeted with applause.
Without a doubt, among the joy and good atmosphere that was breathed in the dining room, there was a very emotional moment when the delegation from Valencia made its entrance. Everyone stood up and made the applause resonate with much more force, a gesture of solidarity for the deceased and the devastation caused by the DANA.
Once each of the delegations was located in the assigned places, the welcome speeches began, starting with José Juan Cruz, mayor of the municipality of Tías; Ángel Vásquez, councilor of the Tourist Centers; Juan Carlos Muñoz, National President and Wenceslao Gil, President of the Barman Association of Lanzarote.
After the speeches, some gifts were given and, afterwards, all the members of the participating venues and guests enjoyed a buffet dinner.
The competition tests will be carried out in the facilities of the Casa Museo del Campesino where on the night of the 5th the names of the winners of this edition will be announced.
