The 'I Short Story Contest' arrives in commemoration of the 'International Day for Trans Memory'

Young people who want to participate must submit their short stories from November 10 to 17, with the theme of trans childhood and youth

The Cabildo of Lanzarote will launch this Friday, November 10, the 'I Short Story Contest', in commemoration of the 'International Day for Trans Memory', which takes place on November 20. 

The Minister of Social Welfare, Marciano Acuña, thanked the 'Chrysallis Association' for organizing the initiative and stressed that the main objective of this is to promote the "fight against discrimination and egalitarian attitudes and behaviors." 

Likewise, the councilor invites young people from 14 years old to participate in the project, submitting their short stories electronically from November 10 to 17, with the theme related to trans childhood and youth.

The deadline for submitting stories is from November 10, at 6:00 p.m., until the November 17, at 12:00 a.m., sending them through the email: microrrelatoslanzarote@gmail.com

The works sent by email must provide the work in PDF format and a document with the personal and contact information of the author of the story. In the case of minors, in addition to the author's data and contact email, it must necessarily include the name, surname, NIF and signature of the legal representative of the minor.

The length of the short story will have a minimum of 500 words and a maximum of 1,500 words. The jury's decision will be made public on November 20, 2023 at 5:00 p.m., in an event that will be held at the Insular Library of Lanzarote in Arrecife and will be published on the official website of Chrysallis.
