San Bartolomé celebrated the Day Carnival this Tuesday. A day that filled the streets of the municipality with rhythm and color and in which you could enjoy a program full of activities for all audiences.

During the day, the traditional parade took place, which was the beginning of a day of music and fun in which you could enjoy the performances of Pepe Benavente, Orquesta Star Music, Nueva Década, Orquesta Maquinaria Band and Dj Ángel Pérez in the Félix Rodríguez de la Fuente park.

With this celebration, the 2024 events will move to Playa Honda this Thursday, February 16, with the Carnival Afternoon in Plaza Santa Elena, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., where there will be face painting, a toy library, virtual reality and a performance by the children's murgas.

On Friday, February 17, it will be the turn of the Parade and Burial of the Guachinango, which will run along Avenida de Playa Honda, departing at 6:00 p.m. from Guacimeta, ending in the Playa del Curita area. In addition, you can enjoy the performances of the groups 'Tabaiba Mestizo' and 'Jaleo' on the Avenue.

The mayor of San Bartolomé, Isidro Pérez, has made a "positive assessment" of the Carnival events that have taken place so far in the municipality, highlighting "the good family atmosphere that characterizes these dates". In addition, he highlighted that with the events that will take place in the coming days in Playa Honda "we are taking this celebration to all population centers."

The mayor also thanked the local groups for their work, "thanks to which we maintain the carnival spirit that characterizes us" and encouraged the residents to "continue participating" in the 2024 Carnival events.
