For the second consecutive year, the Classical Orchestra of Lanzarote inaugurated the II Classical Concert Cycle of Arrecife with the institutional support of the Department of Culture of the Arrecife City Council and the Government of the Canary Islands with the special collaboration of the César Manrique Foundation.

The concert, which was held last Saturday, began at 8:30 p.m. in the José Saramago Room in La Plazuela. A room that meets very good acoustic and comfort conditions, thus allowing the followers of these chamber concerts to enjoy.

For this first concert of the new season, it featured the performance of the Gran Canaria soprano, Judith Pezoa, accompanied by the String Quartet. They chose Sibelius' Andante Festivo for the beginning. Immediately afterwards, Judith Pezoa joined to perform the aria by Giocomelli "Sposa non mi Conosci", followed by the Quartet with Allegro from Concerto grosso No. 1 by Geminiani. The first part ended with a masterful interpretation of "Lascia ch'io pianga by Haendel in the voice of Pezoa.

After a short break, the second part began with the Quartet with another work by Geminiani, Concerto grosso No. 3, followed by the soprano Judith Pezoa performing works by Mozart or Antonio Vivaldi, among others. When the soprano and the musicians finished the concert and were leaving the stage, they had to return due to the insistence of the public with their applause and as a gift they performed the aria by Mozart "Vorrei spiegarvi oh dio".

Before leaving the José Saramago room, the public congratulated the soprano and the musicians in the hall where they were accompanied by the manager of the Classical Orchestra of Lanzarote, Roberto Fuentes, who was very satisfied with this new musical commitment.
