The César Manrique Foundation (FCM) inaugurated a new exhibition last Thursday night at the Taro de Tahíche. It is the exhibition Songs of the Soul. Incarnation and Mystery, by the Madrid artist Alberto Corazón (1942-2021).
The exhibition displays the works of the painter Alberto Corazón, where he captures a conversation with the Spanish poet San Juan de la Cruz (1542 - 1591) and a materialization of his plastic interpretation of his work Dark Night.
Specifically, it features eight pieces by Alberto Corazón on Dark Night. In them, the poet from Ávila shows the soul's joy at having achieved perfection, by achieving "union with God, through the path of spiritual negation."
Accompanying these eight main pieces, thirteen drawings and six sculptures will also be exhibited —loaned by Ana Arambarri, manager of the Corazón/Arambarri legacy.
The event, which was open to the public without the need for an entrance fee, began at 7:30 p.m. in the Sala Taro de Tahíche. This exhibition will be available until November 2, 2026.
