The Cabildo of Lanzarote has promoted the correct use of traditional clothing during the Pilgrimage of Los Dolores through a video that will be disseminated through various communication channels and social networks.
The Minister of Culture, Jesús Machín Tavío, emphasizes that the objective of this campaign is to raise awareness among the population, especially the youth, about the importance of dressing correctly during these festivities to respect traditions and preserve the heritage and history of the Island.
“From the Department of Culture, we believe it is necessary to create this video to show real situations in which previous generations explain to the youngest why it is so important that the clothing is adequate and what is intended with this,” the Minister detailed.
Likewise, the Institution presided over by Oswaldo Betancort reminds that the Pilgrimage of Los Dolores will take place on Saturday, September 9, while the pilgrimage to Mancha Blanca in honor of Our Lady of Los Dolores will take place on September 15.
