The Lanzarote International Film Festival continues with screenings of the official section until the closing ceremony, which will be held on Sunday the 25th. There are also concerts all over the island, including the EMEC Electronic Music Festival, and also in La Graciosa, where Los Sabandeños will play.

Among other events, one of the most established choreographers of today, Emir Abdul, offers a master class this Thursday, May 22, and in theater there are three plays this week in the theaters of San Bartolomé, Tías and in the Convent of Santo Domingo in La Villa de Teguise.

  • Film Festival. Animation 

The Lanzarote International Film Festival continues this week with a large part of its official section. The animated films that are screened this Thursday are The View - Alli Sadegiani (Sweden); Homework - Nacho Arjona (Spain); Azkena - Ane Inés Landeta & Lorea Lyons (Spain); De-sastre - ECIB (Spain); Les fleurs sauvages - Saint-Gelais Rodolphe & Sirois Thierry (Canada); Awaiting the Lightning Bolt - Marco Russo (Italy).

The Lanzarote International Film Festival continues this week with a large part of its official section. The films of the international section that are screened this Thursday are La Cascada - Pablo Delgado (Mexico); Nothing But The Truth - Hamoun Dolatshahi (USA); Secuencia - Chiro Castellanos Laundry - Maryam Ghasemi (Iceland).

  • Film Festival. Documentary

The Lanzarote International Film Festival continues this week with a large part of its official section. The documentary films that are screened this Thursday are Ceditas, by Ignacio Maquirriain; Volver Cantando, by Lázaro Louzao; Lagun, by Juan Larrañaga; and También lo siento, by Ignacio Marín.

The Lanzarote International Film Festival continues this week with a large part of its official section. Company.

  • Film Festival. Closing Gala

The Lanzarote International Film Festival celebrates its closing gala this Saturday, May 24 at the El Salinero Theater in Arrecife.

  • Destiladera. Lanzarote revealed

The Tenique Cultural association returns one more year with this popular initiative aimed at recovering, projecting and analyzing old films from Lanzarote. For two weeks, the most interesting family cinema will travel through the seven municipalities with the help of the Tenerife filmmaker Dailo Barco.

  • Trío Guiguan Concert

  • EMEC Festival

The Festival that combines ecology, music, electronics and culture in its acronym returns this Saturday to the castle to delight lovers of avant-garde electronic music.

  •  Iván Quintana. Fina Estampa

The singer Iván Quintana, accompanied by the guitarists Danny Martinez and Juan Sebastián Ramirez, pays tribute to María Dolores Pradera, with the most outstanding of her repertoire.

  • Los Sabandeños

The greatest exponents of traditional music from the Canary Islands offer a concert in La Graciosa.

  • Concert by Alexis Lemes and Saray Bermúdez

On Wednesday, May 28, the ruling of the Coplas Guanapay contest will be announced at the Casa Museo del Timple. Next, there will be a concert by Alexis Lemes and Saray Bermúdez, at 8:00 p.m., at the Casa Museo del Timple.

  • Choreography class with Emir Abdul 

Emir Abdul, the famous Uruguayan dancer of Lebanese descent who has created choreographies for established singers such as Daddy Yankee, Karol G, J. Balvin or Ricky Martin, will offer a master class in Arrecife.

  • The timple in Lanzarote

Activity framed in the exhibition 'The timple, echoes of identity'. The conference will be given by the researcher and curator of the exhibition, Daniel Morales, author of the book 'Crónicas del timple'.

  •  Conversation between Enrique Ježik and Adonay Bermúdez

The visual artist Enrique Ježik, who is in artistic residence in Lanzarote, and the curator Adonay Bermúdez will talk about the different creation processes linked to the analysis and reflection on power, socio-political and war conflicts, as well as the aestheticization of violence and the manipulation of information.

  • Fuenteovejuna

The theatrical group Las Sin Sombrero offers a renewed version of the classic work of the Golden Age of literature in Spain, Fuenteovejuna, by Lope de Vega.

  • Delirium

The Municipal Theater of Tías hosts the play “Delirio Marie Curie”, starring Carla Verona, Yurena Martín and Begoña Cedrés.

The text, winner of the third Canarias writes theater contest, is by the writer Carla Pérez, native of Tahíche.
