The best of the week from July 3 to 9: summer traveling cinema, humor, jazz festival and much more music

The Canarias Jazz & Más Festival lands in Lanzarote and La Graciosa, and the summer traveling cinema cycle begins throughout all the municipalities of the island.

This week, the Summer Traveling Cinema returns to Lanzarote thanks to Tenique Cultural, which will screen films throughout the island. We are also in the middle of the Canarias Jazz & Más Festival week, which brings jazz legend Dee Dee Bridgewater Quartet to Lanzarote this Saturday and Esther Ovejero to La Graciosa this Friday.

Additionally, the famous Argentine comedian Fede Cyrulnik will be at Los Jameos. The agenda also includes cinema at El Almacén, dance at Marina Lanzarote, and several concerts throughout the island.

CINEMA

 

  • Summer Traveling Cinema 2025

The Summer Traveling Cinema returns to Lanzarote, starting today in Arrecife and touring all the municipalities until August 15. With this initiative by Tenique Cultural, the squares and corners of Lanzarote are transformed into open-air seventh art theaters.

Films for all audiences, presentations that invite you to look with different eyes, open debates, and a festive atmosphere make each session an opportunity to enjoy and think about cinema in community.

This week, the films 'Last Call' and 'The Heist of the Century' are being screened in Arrecife.

Where: Plaza Pedro Alcántara, La Harinera, Arrecife.

When: Thursday, July 3rd and Friday, July 4th at 9:00 PM.

  • Grand Tour

The Cine Buñuel of El Almacén presents the latest work by Portuguese filmmaker Miguel Gomes, a fascinating journey through time and space through a love story. A story about the mysteries, vertigos, and adventure that surround sentimental relationships, which earned him the award for best director at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival.

HUMOR

 

  • Fede Cyrulnik

The comedian Fede Cyrulnik presents his show Evolushon in Lanzarote, in which he parodies the zodiac signs. With humor and using the stereotypes of each sign, he represents how each of them faces everyday situations.

  • Arrecife Dances. Grand Dance Gala

'Arrecife Dances' celebrates its second day with the 'Grand Dance Gala' which will bring together about 500 participants belonging to eight dance schools from Lanzarote.

 MUSIC

 

  • Lorena Torres and Mara Jaubert

Concert by the young soprano from Lanzarote, Lorena Torres, and the pianist from Tenerife, Mara Jaubert, who will perform works by classical composers.

When: Thursday, July 3rd at 7:30 PM.

Where: Casa de la Cultura Agustín de la Hoz.

  • Esther Ovejero. Canarias Jazz & Más Festival

The Canarias Jazz & Más Festival returns, and among its proposals is a concert by the singer and composer Esther Ovejero in La Graciosa.

Her work includes jazz, boleros, film music, also electronic music, with collaborations in more than twenty projects and four solo albums. She has been an opening act for Rod Stewart and Gloria Gaynor, among others.

  • Javier Infante. Proximity Concerts

Arrecife continues to bring music to the neighborhoods. This time, with the guitarist Javier Infante at the Maneje Sociocultural Center.

  • Barcelona Sax Quartet

The Nino Díaz Foundation continues with the Class_ik Lanzarote concert series, and this Saturday, July 5th, it brings the Barcelona Sax Quartet to the island, with more than ten years of experience around the world.

This Saturday, they will play masterpieces by Vivaldi, Haydn, and Mozart, along with original compositions by David Salleras, which offer a contemporary and innovative look at the world of the saxophone.

  • Dee Dee Bridgewater Quartet. Canarias Jazz & Más Festival

Also within the framework of the Canarias Jazz & Más Festival comes one of the most anticipated concerts of this edition: the performance of the American singer Dee Dee Bridgewater, one of the great legends of contemporary jazz. She has been awarded three Grammy Awards and her name is among the greats in the Memphis Music Hall of Fame.
