The Wave. Buñuel Cinema
El Almacén hosts this Thursday the second screening of the film La Ola as part of the dance exhibition Suelo y aire.
It is a 2025 musical inspired by the feminist demonstrations in Chile in 2018, also known as the Chilean feminist wave.

Gambia, country of resilience
On April 18 at 20:00 hours, the Auditorio Jameos del Agua hosts the screening of the documentary “Gambia, country of resilience”, a solidarity piece by Lorena Curbelo, which connects with her story ‘The secret of the old devil of Timanfaya’, to talk about resilience, solidarity and cultural exchange.
The documentary captures the experience lived by a multidisciplinary team during their stay in Gambia, within the framework of a cultural, educational, and human project that builds bridges between the Canary Islands and Africa.

Reading Club Verbena. ‘Nebulous Mother’ by Tatiana Donoso
The second session of the Verbena Reading Club will be dedicated to poetry. As a prelude to the next edition of the Verbena literary gathering, the writer and coordinator of the festival, Lana Corujo, invites us to continue unveiling the work of some of the authors who will be part of the festival.
In this case, the poetry collection Madre Nebulosa by Tatiana Donoso Matthews, a work that unfolds like a poetic mantle over pain and joy.

Everything in you is shipwreck. Twenty love poems and a desperate song
Artistic-literary project conceived by Fabio Carreiro and Guacimara Hernández that is born as a reflection on the poetics of love in our days, taking as a starting point the poetry collection Twenty love poems and a desperate song by the writer Pablo Neruda.
The project consists of three sessions. The first on Tuesday with the Round Table "Everything in you is shipwreck", the second, on Wednesday, with the conference "Twisted beauty: poetics of love in the 21st century" by Sonia Betancort, and a third, on Friday with the inauguration of the artistic installation "Seven love poems and a desperate song" .

If This Is a Man. Festival Escénica
In 1944, Primo Levi was deported to Auschwitz. He was 24 years old. During his stay in the camp, he began to write 'If this is a man', the account of the ten months he was a prisoner.
In this play of the Escénica Festival an actor enters a stage and faces the challenge of reliving Levi's experience, to thus try to understand (if it is possible) what Auschwitz was and what it means for us, 21st-century spectators, that such a place existed.

The depth of silence
Opportunity to do a guided visit with the cultural manager David Machado about “The depth of silence”, an exhibition by the Lanzarote artist Ildefonso Aguilar that started at the end of March.
The exhibition proposes a journey through the recent work and a selection of previous works by Aguilar that constructs a sensitive cartography of the territory, where the stone, the sand and the eroded lava evoke memory, time and silence.

El Festival de Música Antigua de Lanzarote presents Amorous thought, a concert that brings together music from the Golden Age and that of great masters of the baroque guitar.
