For the week that begins, we propose an author's film, two exhibitions, and a guided tour of the headquarters of the Parranda de los Buches.

The Left-Handed Girl. Cine Buñuel
Cine Buñuel de El Almacén presents The Left-Handed Girl, by Taiwanese filmmaker Shih-Ching Tsou. The film narrates the adventures of three women immersed in an environment as disturbing as it is turbulent. The film was shot entirely with an iPhone 13.

Geography of LGTBIQ+ resistances in the Canary Islands
The exhibition ‘Geography of LGTBIQ+ resistances in the Canary Islands’ covers the memory, spaces, and historical struggles of the collective in the archipelago. The exhibition claims the importance of preserving this collective memory and recognizing the role of those who promoted social change in the face of discrimination and repression.
When: Inauguration on July 6 at 7:00 PM and until July 16.

Portraying to resist
Portraying to resist is a collective participatory photography exhibition that brings together works created by women and dissidents in workshops held in Gran Canaria, Fuerteventura, and Lanzarote. From a gender and interculturality perspective, the exhibition uses the image as a tool for expression, reflection, and social transformation.
When: Inauguration on Wednesday, July 8 at 7:30 PM and until August 28.

Visit the Parranda Marinera de los Buches
The educational project "Ensayos de salitre y sal" (Essays of saltpeter and salt) takes place during the month of July at the Casa Museo de Los Buches, in Lanzarote. Through visits to its historic Social Headquarters, participants have the opportunity to discover the tradition of the Entrudo, the ancient carnival of Los Buches, as well as the maritime folklore of Arrecife and its dances.

Class_ik Lanzarote celebrates a new chamber music event at the El Fondeadero Civic Center, with the participation of guitarist Daniel Martínez Asenjo, who will come to Lanzarote with “Días de radio,” a program built from the dialogue between tradition, sonic memory, and contemporary listening.

Carmesí (stage name of Carmen Molina) is a Spanish singer-songwriter and composer who mixes pop, indie, and electronic sounds. Her first album, Deshielo, introduced her to the singer-songwriter scene, and she later expanded her sound with works such as Refugio and Tiro al plato.
