Lanzarote is once again on the map of major cultural events with the celebration of the Jameos International Humor Festival (FIHJ), an event that will bring together some of the most outstanding figures in the national and international humor scene at the Auditorio Jameos del Agua between July 17, 2026 and January 23, 2027. For seven months, the emblematic space of the Centers of Art, Culture and Tourism will host a program that will combine monologues, theater, and stand-up shows with the aim of consolidating the island as a benchmark for comedy in the Canary Islands.

This new edition presents a lineup with artists from different generations and styles, with proposals aimed at diverse audiences. The FIHJ thus opts for a program capable of attracting both local audiences and visitors who choose Lanzarote as a tourist destination, reinforcing the island's cultural offerings beyond the summer season.

The Minister of the Centers of Art, Culture and Tourism, Ángel Vázquez, encourages the public to enjoy an event "that invites us to have a good time with the best experts in the art of making people laugh".

The Program

The curtain will rise on July 17, at 8:00 p.m., with the premiere in Lanzarote of "Todo pa' última hora," the new show by comedian Jorge Ávila, a stand-up proposal that turns haste, daily stress, and the most recognizable situations of daily life into an exercise in close and direct humor.

Marta González de Vega will land at the Auditorio Jameos del Agua on August 8, also at 8:00 p.m., with her successful comedy "De Caperucita a loba en solo 6 tíos," one of the most acclaimed productions of recent years on the Spanish stage.

On September 5, it will be the turn of the Colombian Ricardo Quevedo, one of the great references of Latin American humor, who will arrive in Lanzarote with "Caer con estilo," a show marked by irony, social observation, and everyday humor.

Later, the Auditorio Jameos del Agua will host Susi Caramelo who, with her relaxed, provocative, and improvised style, has become one of the most promising comedians on the national scene.

One of the most anticipated moments will arrive on November 13, with the double performance of "Todo Incluido", starring Goyo Jiménez and the Canarian comedian Kike Pérez. The performances, scheduled for 7:00 PM and 9:30 PM, will bring together two of the country's most popular comedians on the same stage.

The theater will once again take center stage on December 18 with "Asesinato para tres", a fun production starring Didac Flores and Mikel Herzog, which combines humor, intrigue, and music in a different proposal within the festival's programming.

The closing will arrive on January 23, 2027, at 8:00 PM, with the Canarian comedian Darío López, who will present "Medio Totufo", a show full of references to the identity and character of the archipelago.

Tickets to participate in this festival of laughter and fun are now on sale on the platform encontradas.com.
