San Bartolomé celebrated with great success the III edition of the Fair of Balance and Opportunities that took place in the León y Castillo square during the days of April 13 and 14. More than 20 companies from all over the island and from various sectors, such as fashion, decoration, beauty, toys, furniture, sporting goods, stationery and bookstore, joined to offer a wide range of products at reduced prices.
The success of the Fair, organized by A.C.E.A. (Association of Businesses and Entrepreneurs AJEI), with the support of the City Council of San Bartolomé and the Cabildo of Lanzarote, was reflected "not only in the numbers, with a volume of sales that tripled with respect to the 2023 edition, but also in the strengthening of the image of local commerce".
The mayor of San Bartolomé, Isidro Pérez, has valued the celebration of these days to support small businesses "making the municipality a meeting place between the seller and the consumer, allowing to boost the local economy, both in San Bartolomé and Lanzarote, with an event that with its third edition has already been consolidated".
For her part, the Councilor for Commerce, Alma González, wanted to thank the Association of Businesses and Entrepreneurs Ajei (ACEA), all the businesses that were present on the day and the Commerce area of the Cabildo of Lanzarote "who with their collaboration have allowed this event to become a great commercial and leisure showcase for the island".
The president of ACEA, Oswaldo Machín, highlighted the "positive impact" that the Fair has had on local commerce. "We are delighted to see how this fair has contributed significantly to the economic growth of our local merchants, and how it has reinforced the confidence and image of the local commerce of the Island in the citizens," said Machín.
During the two days, visitors enjoyed a varied program of activities designed for all ages, from a children's area with a playroom and workshops to a rest area. Music was another highlight, with recitals by Aron Gopar and ToL, an acoustic tribute to Amaral, a DJ session by Afri_k47 and the performance of the Ace Jazz Quartet, which set the space and shopping with their jazz and blues melodies.
In addition, to encourage and reward buyers, a raffle of three 50 euro vouchers will be held on Friday the 19th at 8:00 p.m. through the Facebook profile of ACEA, for which they can still upload entries for purchases over 10 euros made during the Fair, to the website of the Association of Businesses and Entrepreneurs Ajei.
The next edition of the San Bartolomé Balance and Opportunities Fair already has a date. This will take place between March 29 and 30, 2025.
