The Titerroy neighborhood in Arrecife celebrated the feast of its Patron Saint, San José Obrero, with great solemnity and fervor, on a day marked by devotion, neighborhood participation, and solemnity.
At 11:00 AM, the Solemn Eucharist began, with full capacity and the attendance of numerous neighborhood residents, as well as visitors from nearby areas. The celebration was presided over by priest Samuel Alirio Aguilar Mazzey, assisted by parish priest Juan Carlos Medina, in a liturgical act that stood out for its participatory nature and for the careful musical animation by the Parish Choir, whose songs added a special solemnity to the ceremony.
The image of San José Obrero looked majestic on its throne, exquisitely adorned with flowers for the occasion, as did the temple, which presented its best finery for such a special day. The Eucharist culminated with the performance of the Hymn to San José Obrero, followed by cheers and a prolonged and heartfelt applause that resounded strongly inside the church.
Next, the traditional procession took place through the streets adjoining the temple. Led by the revered image of the Saint, the procession advanced accompanied by the celebrating priests, authorities, and numerous faithful, who, in an atmosphere of reverence, sang songs typical of this festivity.
Upon returning, and at the moment the image of San José Obrero crossed the church's portico, it was bid farewell with emotional applause and cheers, thus putting the final touch on a heartwarming festive day in honor of the Patron of Workers.
A celebration that, one more year, reaffirmed the deep devotion and the roots of this tradition in the Titerroy neighborhood.
