San Bartolomé continues with the celebration of its patron saint festivities, and this weekend the municipal theater hosted one of the most popular and emotional events to enjoy the concert “Lights, Music, and Action”, offered by the Municipal Band of San Bartolomé dedicated on this occasion to the seventh art.

The audience, which packed the venue, was able to relive some of the most iconic soundtracks in the history of cinema, in a varied, entertaining repertoire full of nods to collective memory with the interpretation of the central themes of films such as Superman, E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial, or Pirates of the Caribbean, among others.

The evening was marked by a very emotional moment, which was the recognition of the work and dedication of the director of the Municipal Music Band of San Bartolomé, Kenty Mauri Cabrera, during his 17 years of career.

The mayor of San Bartolomé, Isidro Pérez, on behalf of the Corporation, presented him with a distinction in gratitude for his dedication, commitment, and contribution to the cultural enrichment of the municipality. “Under his baton, the group has grown in quality, consolidating itself as one of the musical references of Lanzarote, also promoting new musical vocations betting on local talent”, Pérez highlighted.

In this sense, the San Bartolomé City Council wanted to extend this congratulations and gratitude to each of the members of the municipal band for their good work, as well as for their direct participation in the extensive program of the Patron Saint Festivities, which has more than fifty activities for all audiences.
