The San Bartolomé City Council will celebrate a new edition of the San Juan in Playa Honda festival on June 23rd with a program designed for all audiences that will combine children's activities, live music, local gastronomy, and traditional events linked to one of the most special nights of the year.
The initiative, promoted by the council with the collaboration of the Cabildo de Lanzarote through its Area of Economic Promotion, will take place throughout the day in Playa Honda and seeks to consolidate this celebration as a space for meeting, coexistence, and economic revitalization for the municipality.
The mayor of San Bartolomé, Isidro Pérez, highlights that "San Juan is one of those celebrations that are part of our traditions and that allow us to enjoy public spaces, share in community, and strengthen the bonds between neighbors."
The mayor points out that "we have designed a program for all ages, which combines leisure, culture, and tradition activities, and which also contributes to revitalizing Playa Honda on a very special date for the municipality."

The day will begin at 11:00 AM with activities aimed especially at children, including a playroom, inflatables, gastronomic workshops, recreational activities, and a family show that will take place for a good part of the day.
For her part, the Councilor for Commerce, Alma González, highlights that "this celebration is also an opportunity to support local economic activity and showcase local products, encouraging residents and visitors to enjoy the gastronomic and commercial offerings of Playa Honda."
The councilor adds that "we wanted to include a tasting of local products because we understand that our traditions also involve promoting the work of our producers and continuing to promote local consumption."
The Councilor for Festivals, Estefanía Luzardo, highlighted that "San Juan Night is one of the most anticipated celebrations by residents and visitors, an event that combines tradition, coexistence, and fun in a privileged setting like Playa Honda."
The councilor pointed out that "we have prepared a program designed so that the whole family can enjoy throughout the day, with activities for the little ones, music, gastronomy, and the traditional events that make this night such a special date."
The program will also feature various musical performances that will liven up the day and create a festive atmosphere for residents and visitors.
One of the most anticipated moments will arrive at 9:30 PM with the lighting of the Great Bonfire of San Juan, a symbol of this traditional celebration that will illuminate the coast of Playa Honda and provide the perfect end to the night.
The San Bartolomé City Council invites all citizens to participate in this celebration that combines tradition, culture, gastronomy, and family entertainment in a privileged setting by the sea, making Playa Honda one of the main meeting points for San Juan night in Lanzarote.
