Costa Teguise hosted the Carnival Gala this Thursday. The artists on stage knew how to transmit their joy and the public enjoyed a night with a lot of rhythm, color and humor. The show took place after the exhibition of the works made in the mask workshop of Los Diabletes in the House of Culture of La Villa de Teguise.
This Friday, March 3, the carnival will return to the Historic Site of La Villa, the Traditional Carnival with the participation of groups from outside, such as Los Peliquerios (Ourense) and Los Arretrancos de Fuerteventura, as well as the masquerades, the Bulls of Tao and Tiagua, Los Diabletes de Teguise or Los Buches de Arrecife, with the performance of the Parranda El Golpito as the culmination.
The grand parade of the Costa Teguise Carnival will be on Saturday, March 4, starting at 5:00 p.m., and on Sunday the 5th, there will be a parade in the Historic Site, as a Day Carnival. For its part, the island of La Graciosa will put an end to the festivities with its particular Carnival on the weekend of March 17 to 19.
On the other hand, the Timple House-Museum will host the presentation of the book "Fiestas de Canarias". It will be on Saturday, March 4, at 11 a.m., with a subsequent round table where the author, Juan Agustín Pérez, will participate; Benito Cabrera (director of the Timple House-Museum); Francisco Hernández (official chronicler of Teguise), as well as a representative of the traditional carnival groups. A day before, this same Friday, the photographic exhibition on the Traditional Carnivals in the Canary Islands will be inaugurated, which will remain until April 9 in the House-Museum.
