The Canary artist Pedro Domínguez Quevedo, known as Quevedo, has once again reached the number one position in the top 50 Spain of Spotify with his latest work: Columbia. This time with a song created and produced in Lanzarote.

Without a large recording studio, in a house in Lanzarote, with a mattress to isolate the sound and together with part of the team that accompanied him in the elaboration of his first and only album Donde Quiero Estar, Quevedo created Columbia.

The singer himself has made public through his Instagram account how the theme that aspires to be one of the songs of the summer was created on the island of volcanoes and that in just one day managed to break a record reaching 2.44 million views.

The democratization of music that came with the irruption of social networks has allowed young talents from the islands to record in almost any place and reach many listeners shortly after without being backed by large record companies.

On the island he also thought about how he wanted to present the song, which he already announced during his performance at the event of La Velada del Año of the youtuber Ibai, and what the video clip that would accompany it would be like.
