The Avenida de Las Playas in Puerto del Carmen has experienced a massive party on the occasion of the celebration of its Carnival parade. For more than four hours, the parade of masks and floats has traveled the main artery of the Lanzarote tourist town with great public and participation success.
The parade started at 5:00 p.m. from the Barcarola area to the Fariones Playa area where murgas, floats, comparsas, batucadas and masks have displayed all their rhythm, color and humor.
From 9:00 p.m. the verbena will be held in the Plaza del Varadero by the Malibu Band orchestra, the Bomba group and DJ Javi Fajardo.
On Sunday, the Carnival program will close with the great children's carnival parade starting at 11:00 a.m. from the end of Teide street to Plaza del Varadero. At 11:30 a.m. the Full Show Pirates of the Caribbean will be offered, at 12:30 p.m. there will be inflatables and at 1:00 p.m. the Day Carnival will begin with performances by the tribute to Juan Luis Guerra with the La Sabrosa orchestra and the Group “Bomba.
