Navidad Isleña continues touring the municipalities of Lanzarote where on Thursday evening, locals and tourists were able to enjoy different performances in the square next to the church of Nuestra Señora del Carmen, in Playa Blanca.
First, the musical group Alborada Peña del Lentisco, directed by Professor José Cruz, performed with a varied repertoire of traditional Christmas carols, with the collaboration of the public who, during their performance, also joined their voices humming and applauding very enthusiastically.
The second part of the event featured the performance of the Agrupación Folclórica Guagime from Tahíche, directed in the musical part by Professor Fefo Pérez and in the dance part by Professor Desirée Hernández.
Guagime offered those present the traditional Canarian songs and dances, such as folías, isas, berlina and siote palmero, which in turn were interspersed with Christmas carols typical of these festivities, some of their own creation.
The public, especially the tourists, did not stop shooting their mobiles to take a souvenir of our most representative traditions, and when they thought their performance was over, they asked them to continue, a request that was accepted with an encore with airs of Isa parrandera.
