The tent for the San Rafael festivities, in the neighborhood of Los Molinos de La Villa de Teguise, experienced a night of authentic spectacle this Sunday with the celebration of the Play Back de San Rafael 2026, which achieved resounding success and was completely full, with a devoted audience that enjoyed from beginning to end an evening full of rhythm, humor, and surprises.
Under the title A Party Flight, the show turned the stage into an authentic airport, with flight attendants, a pilot, and a spectacular choreography inspired by a plane trip that managed to get the audience on their feet from the first notes. An original staging that marked the common thread of a gala in which creativity, good humor, and teamwork were not lacking.
Throughout the night, the participants entertained the audience with a varied musical repertoire that spanned different eras and styles. Well-known songs such as Cocinero, by Antonio Molina; Triste recuerdo, by Lucero; Aserejé, by Las Ketchup; Voy a ponerme bonita, by Dayana; and Callados, by Camilo Sesto and Ángela Carrasco, made the attendees sing, dance, and accompany each performance.
The show continued with great hits such as La chica del 17, by Liliana Celis; Me gustas mucho, by Rocío Dúrcal; Mi destino, by La Reina del Flow; La mala costumbre, by Pastora Soler, and La vida es una tómbola, by Marisol, completing a musical journey that connected with the audience and maintained the festive atmosphere throughout the gala.
Humor also played a leading role. The well-known sketch of Las chicas del Zapping, a comedy group that has already taken their performances to different towns in Lanzarote, once again elicited numerous laughs, demonstrating once again the good reception of their characters and situations among the audience.
The grand finale arrived with Viaje con nosotros, a festive closing in which the flight attendants handed out candies to the attendees while the music invited them to dance and enjoy the last moments of a night that turned the tent into a true party.
The gala was presented by Esperanza Curbelo, who was in charge of hosting the show and accompanying the audience throughout the different performances.
The success of this edition highlights the effort, enthusiasm, and weeks of preparation that go into a show of this nature.
