The previous atmosphere in Jameos del Agua was that of great occasions. And the truth is that an hour and a half after the concert, all the predictions were confirmed: Thursday was a great night. The Cuban singer Pancho Céspedes won over the audience that occupied the entire capacity of the volcanic tube transformed by César Manrique with a succession of songs with which he reviewed his long artistic career at the highest level.
His prodigious voice, more mature and profound, and his closeness and warmth served to create a unique atmosphere, one of those that occur from time to time in that magical space, which reached its maximum expression when the first chords of his eternal 'Vida loca' sounded, a prelude to the encores he gave to the public.
Pancho Céspedes reviewed his greatest hits and sprinkled the night with anecdotes and situations experienced throughout his more than three décades on stage. But, more importantly, Céspedes was the protagonist of a magical night demonstrating that he is one of the greats of contemporary Latin American music.
