Arrecife will experience the fun, cheerful, and musical atmosphere of the April Fair this weekend. The Arrecife City Council, through the Department of Tourism and Commerce, has announced the artists who will perform this weekend in the capital of Lanzarote. The epicenter will be the José Ramírez Cerdá Park, next to the famous Music Kiosk.

The mayor of Arrecife, Yonathan de León, and the councilor for Tourism and Commerce, Eli Merino, have presented the program, activities, and different musical concerts that will take place this Friday, May 2, and Saturday, May 3, within the third edition of the Arrecife City April Fair. María del Monte, Les Castizos, R.A.Y.A, and Pitingo are among the prominent artists who will thrill the thousands of attendees expected to come, as in the successes achieved in the previous two editions.

Yonathan de León has detailed that "Arrecife is one of the most multicultural cities in the Canary Islands and Spain, where over the last few decades we have been characterized as a melting pot of cultures, and that is allowing us to advance as a locomotive in the creation of new jobs, more than two thousand in the last 20 months." The mayor has provided data reflecting that "the hospitality, commerce, leisure, and tourism sectors are the generators of these job opportunities for families, who have in the revitalization of the city an incentive for many people to enjoy coming to Arrecife, consume, and enjoy their leisure and fun time. Investing in revitalizing Arrecife is supporting growth in employment."

For her part, Eli Merino, head of the Departments of Commerce and Tourism, remarked that "cities attract visitors, in addition to the good impact on the local population, for the revitalization offers they promote so that leisure, local commerce, hospitality, and tourism are complemented by these initiatives."

This event promises two days full of music, dances, gastronomy, and cultural fusion where in Lanzarote those born in Andalusia are among the most numerous communities as residents.

During these next Friday and Saturday, attendees will be able to enjoy a careful program that combines tradition and festive atmosphere. There will be live musical performances, including names such as María del Monte, Pitingo, Les Castizos, R.A.Y.A, and Sevilla Gitana, accompanied by local artists and groups that will fill the stage with art and passion. There will also be flamenco and sevillanas shows, horse rides, equestrian exhibitions, a flamenco catwalk, gastronomic stands with rebujito and nods to Lanzarote wine, as well as decorated spaces that will transform the José Ramírez Cerdá Park into an authentic Real.

An event that revitalizes the city of Arrecife

The mayor of Arrecife, Yonathan de León, highlights the importance of this event where he emphasizes that "the April Fair, in addition to a community celebration, boosts the local economy, attracting residents and tourists to the heart of our city." For her part, the councilor for Tourism and Commerce, Eli Merino, wanted to launch a special invitation to the citizens "this year we encourage the entire population to cheer up, attend, and breathe the fair from all corners, where the musical performances will fill the José Ramírez Cerdá Park."

Les Castizos, who are currently at a great national level, and from the Department of Tourism and Commerce it is desired that, together with María del Monte, R.A.Y.A, and Pitingo, the Seville April Fair will register this 2025 the "great success it has and the good reception it had last year."
