The group 'Los Tabletúos' was proclaimed this Friday as the winner of the First prize for Interpretation, Lyrics and Music of the XXXIV Adult Groups Contest of the Arrecife Carnival, held at the Agramar fairgrounds. Second place went to 'Los Simplones' and third to 'Los Desahuciados'.
Hosted by the historic Radio Lanzarote announcer Francisco José Navarro, announcer Demelza Viñas and actor and presenter Yeray Betancort, on stage, and with announcer Leandro Martín in the backstage, the gala organized within the program of events designed by the Arrecife City Council, presided over by Yonathan de León, through the Department of Celebrations, directed by Echedey Eugenio, began with the performance of the Afilarmónica 'Las Revoltosas'.
After the presentation of the members of the jury, the 51 members of the group "Los Tabletúos", were the first to take the stage and did so wearing the fantasy "The hour of truth has arrived", with which they won the third prize for Fantasy, Design and Wardrobe last Tuesday, during the second phase of the contest. The themes they presented tonight were "Pijama Party" and "Cuarta Fila".
The second to participate were the 58 members of the group "Los Simplones", who performed the themes: "The servants" and "El Gran Prix" and who, in addition to the second prize in Interpretation, Lyrics and Music, took the Presentation Prize and the Criticón Prize (awarded by the groups themselves).
The group 'Las Inadaptadas' was the third to participate but failed to get on the podium in the Interpretation, Lyrics and Music section, although they had already won the First prize for Fantasy, Design and Wardrobe, with the allegory "With a piece of the West we have come to conquer this city and riding, riding, we ended up in the carnival", which their 55 members wore.
Finally, the third prize in Interpretation, Lyrics and Music went to the 58 members of 'Los Desahuciados', who competed in the grand final with the themes: "The Justice Clowns" and "The fairground seal".
During yesterday's gala, the second prize in Fantasy, Design and Wardrobe was also awarded to the group 'Las Enraladas', for their allegory "In some place in the west they are, the cowgirls who were afraid to wake up".
Likewise, 'Las Vacilonas' presented the 'Francisco José Navarro' award to the group with the most magic to the Afilarmónica 'Los Tabletúos'; 'Los Simplones' awarded 'Los Tabletúos' the 'Carlos Pérez' award for the most ingenious and likeable song for their "Pijama Party"; and 'Las Enraladas' awarded the 'Enralado' award to 'Los Simplones' for the theme "El Gran Prix".
The Final Gala of the XXXIV Adult Groups Contest of the Arrecife Carnival also featured performances by the rapper/writer DanienVerso (DnV) and the singer-songwriter David de María.
