The Municipal Theater of Tías hosted last Saturday the Presentation Gala 'Iván Carlos el Raskay' of the great family of the murga Los Simplones de Valterra, in which they announced the design and fantasy with which they compete in these carnivals. This year, to please all their followers, they held two shows, one at 7:00 p.m. and the other at 9:00 p.m.

The two galas were hosted by Ro Garrigós and were developed from beginning to end with great dynamism, counting on the complicity of the dedicated public that supported all those who took the stage. First, some of the members of the comparsa Los Cumbacheros de Tahíche took the stage, flooding the space on stage with their rhythms and color with the showiness of their fantasies.

Subsequently, another of the carnival's own numbers was presented, the staging of 'Drag Eros', who wore the fantasy 'Let the Matriarchy Begin', designed by Josuel Romero and Aday Betancort. 'Drag Eros' surprised with some dizzying choreographies, in each of his movements he displayed a professionalism where dedication, effort and good work earned the applause of the public who did not stop complimenting and encouraging him.

Between music, color and applause, time stopped for a few moments to announce the names of the two members of Los Simplones who were to be distinguished with the awards 'Iván Carlos, El Raskay' and 'Carlos Pérez', which are carried out by secret ballot among all the members. This year they went to Aomar González the I'ván Carlos El Raskay' award and to Tana Figuera the 'Carlos Pérez' award. The families of these two deceased members took the stage very excited, barely able to articulate words and surrounded by the applause of the public, they presented the awards to Omar and Tana.

The night took a one hundred and eighty degree turn and to get back on track, the performance of the 'Dúo Swing del Norte' took place, where its members, Cristian and Iván, were in charge of getting the public on their feet performing songs typical of these festivities such as 'La Ventanita y Marejada'.

And the moment most awaited by all arrived, to know the fantasy designed for this year called 'De tondo nada, de Tótems...algo', designed by the murga itself and also made by the murga that had the collaboration of some mothers, wives, girlfriends and friends without whom it would not have been possible. Los Simplones began their performance with the song entitled 'Los Sirvientes', revealing the cronyism of politicians who ask for the vote to serve the people and in the end end up serving themselves from the people, starting the career as councilor, moving to the mayor's office, from councilor to president and as the last friend on the list is not elected, he "plugs him in through the job bank turning him into an advisor", and the same happens with the millions of tourists who say they arrive in Lanzarote and generate many jobs, the benefits for employers and workers are increasingly difficult to make ends meet. With the farewell song ended a night where fans and murgueros enjoyed a lively gala prelude to the carnival.
