The Fiera del Libro of Lanzarote stars the week with the presence of great writers from the national scene in general and the Canary Islands in particular. Among them, Juan José Millás, Máximo Huerta, Elísabet Benavent, Marta Jiménez, Óscar Alonso, Fernando Bonete, Sonia Moreno, Abraham Boba.

The Buñuel Cinema of El Almacén presents the second and final screening of La vida fuera, one of the events of the Lanzarote Book Fair, focusing on the writer Goliarda Sapienza's time in prison and the summer she will experience after regaining her freedom.

Inadaptados: Desperate Rock & Roll
The Buñuel Cinema of El Almacén screens José María de Páiz's documentary about the mythical Lanzarote rock and roll band ‘Inadaptados’.
The film traces the trajectory of the Lanzarote band and its sound, a mix of garage punk, psychobilly, rockabilly, and rock’n’roll.
After the screening there will be a talk between the director and the four members of the band.

The Lanzarote Book Beast
Between May 7 and 10, the Ramírez Cerdá park and adjacent cultural facilities in Arrecife host the Lanzarote Book Fair.
Present will be, among many other talents, the writers Juan José Millás, Máximo Huerta, Elísabet Benavent, Marta Jiménez, Óscar Alonso, Fernando Bonete, Sonia Moreno, Abraham Boba, Pablo Rivero and Carlos Bardem.
José Betancort, Fabio Carreiro, Pedro Mayo, Víctor Bello, Ana Belén Hormiga, and Jesús Giráldez will also present their new products, among other prominent firms.
Also present will be the Lanzarote writer Lana Corujo, in this case in her role as illustrator, for a book by Lola Suárez.
La Fiera, besides encounters to converse with writers, includes a myriad of events, conferences, cinema, and music.

The comedian from Gran Canaria arrives in Lanzarote to present his new show, Animal de Compañía, in which he reviews his funny conversations with Risa, his dog, and himself.
