The Department of Festivities of the Arrecife City Council, led by Deputy Mayor Echedey Eugenio, continues to offer "successful" quality events at the Carnival of the capital of Lanzarote. This Wednesday, February 26, the doors of the Agramar venue, the epicenter of the main carnival events, were opened to the public to offer a great Exhibition of Dance Schools of Lanzarote, in which seven schools from the Island participated.
The event brought together about 300 dancers and more than 3,000 spectators in an afternoon and evening full of rhythm where talent and passion for dance were the protagonists. During the exhibition, attendees were able to enjoy a unique show with a great diversity of dance styles.
The performances began with the Antonio Dance School, the oldest in Lanzarote, whose first intervention was by Evander and Daniela with the show Viva el Rock and Roll, choreographed by Antonio Pérez.
Later, the aforementioned School presented its Urbano Babys group (3-6 years old), the Urbano Infantil-Juvenil Beginners Group and the Fénix Urban Competition Group, under the direction of Iguamira Collado and Karen Molina. In addition, Mara and Kalea, together with their teacher Evander Pérez, offered the show Las MK. The Antonio Dance School closed its participation with a classic: its Rock and Roll show.
The Tania Marcer School of Performing Arts presented its students from Predanza, Danza Kids and Juvenil. Later, she returned to the stage with the show On Broadway performed by the Youth Dance group. Later, her group of Adolescent and Adult students showed their talent in an performance full of strength and expressiveness and the closing of her participation was carried out by the adult students with a last intervention.
For its part, the MTDance Dance School, directed by Tatiana Niz, offered several presentations throughout the evening. First, with a number of students of various ages, then with the staging of Coco and La Llorona in charge of the Medianos group. Later, her group of Young people performed Cuba Jóvenes and closed their participation with Reino Malvado, represented by the youngest of the school.
The Celia Medina Emotional Dance Studio School offered a demonstration of contemporary dance at different levels: the Contemporary Initiation group opened its participation, followed by the Intermediate Contemporary group and, later, the Advanced Contemporary group. Finally, said School said goodbye with the Modern Dance Group.
Xtreme Up Dance Studio, directed by Hacomar Arrocha and Jennifer Ángel, had several interventions throughout the night. The first by the Baby Pro, Initial A and B groups. Then, the Youth Training group showed an energetic choreography. Later, the Children's group captivated the public with their performance, followed by the Intermediate Group with a Tribute to Beyoncé. The school closed its participation with a new staging of its Junior Training group.
The Daniel de la Rosal Dance School also intervened, taking the stage offering the best of its repertoire in an performance full of emotion and dynamism. The meeting was closed by the Lanzarote Baila Dance School, which, under the direction of Miguel Medina, presented its staging 'In a Disney World'. With a fusion of ballroom dances, Latin dances, interpretation and urban dances choreographed by its director, Yise Barrios and Fran Vega managed to transport the spectators to the magical universe of Disney.
The evening was presented by the journalist Paola Delgado, who guided the public throughout a day full of talent and dedication from dancers.
