The Municipal Recova, a space nestled in the heart of Arrecife, has become a claim as a place of leisure and culture for many citizens who come to enjoy their free time as happened last Saturday night, where the Tenerife singer Chago Melián offered the emotional concert "Brezo y Salitre", organized by the Department of Culture directed by Abigail González.
Accompanied by Marco del Castillo on guitar and Juan Pablo Pérez on timple, Melián deployed a repertoire that covered classics such as 'El mar y el cielo', 'María la Portuguesa' and 'La flor de la Canela', creating a special connection with the audience that chanted the refrains.
The musical evening, produced by the artist himself, featured collaborations from Asenet Padrón, Gara Niz and Elieser Betancort, as well as two special surprises: the stellar appearance of Ciro Corujo and his son "Cirito", thus continuing the legacy of the renowned musical saga of 'Los Corujo'.
One of the most emotional moments came with the intervention of Yurena Melián, the singer's daughter, who fused her Canarian and Hawaiian roots in a delicate interpretation of the Hula Aloa Dance, receiving a standing ovation from the audience.
The grand finale was provided by the Mexican airs that united artists and spectators in a single voice. As a gesture of gratitude, Chago Melián obtained a sculpture of his own creation from councilor Abigail González.
After the concert, Deputy Mayor Echedey Eugenio and González herself shared impressions with the attendees, who did not hesitate to ask that this type of event be repeated monthly, thus confirming La Recova's role as a reference space for Arrecife's culture.
