The Cabildo of Lanzarote has decreed the implementation of special intercity transport services on the occasion of the celebration of the Fiestas de Nuestra Señora del Sagrado Corazón de María, in Caleta de Famara (Teguise). Through the Area of Transport, Mobility and Accessibility, managed by the counselor Domingo Cejas, has set the reinforcement of bus routes that will multiply frequencies and extend hours on the key days of the holidays, that is, August 30 and 31 and September 1.

These services have been requested by the City Council of Teguise and will be operated by the concessionaire Intercity Bus Lanzarote, S.L., with the aim of facilitating the travel of residents and visitors who come to these popular festivities, thus ensuring safe and efficient mobility during the different events.

Councilor Domingo Cejas has stated that this device will "guarantee the enjoyment of the population in these events in a safe, comfortable and sustainable way." He also stresses that it is "essential that the community has alternative mobility options that allow them to participate in activities, especially at night and during the festivals."

Bus schedules

The reinforcement will begin on Friday, August 30, with departures from Arrecife to Caleta de Famara scheduled at 20.00, 20.30, 21.30, 22.00, 23.00 and 23.30 hours. The returns are scheduled for the early morning of the following day at 02.30, 03.00, 03.30, 04.30, 05:00 and 06.00 hours.

On Saturday, August 31, during the daytime festival, there will be departures at 14.00, 14.30, 15.00 and 15.30 hours. The returns will take place at 23.00, 23.30, 00.30 and 01.00 hours. Finally, on Sunday, September 1, during the water festival, there will be departures at 13:00 and 14:00 hours, with returns at 18.00 and 18.30 hours.

To ensure safety and comfort, a high-capacity vehicle will be available, and if necessary, a second one will be enabled.
