The San Roque 2026 Festivals already have a program. The Festejos Department of the Tinajo City Council has designed a broad calendar of activities that will take place from August 6 to 21, with proposals for all ages in which music will once again be one of the main attractions.

Among the most outstanding events is the concert by K-Narias, scheduled for Friday, August 14 at 9:30 p.m., one of the most anticipated performances of the festivals. That same night, Toti Sanz will also perform, as part of a day that will also feature the return of "Sabores de Tinajo".

The patron saint festivals will begin on August 6 with the opening speech by Benedicto Cabrera Tejera, an expert in Agriculture and Pests. After the reading of the opening speech, the timple player Alexis Lemes, the guitarist Adrián Níz, and the soloist Almudena Hernández will perform, while the Grupo Alegranza will put the finishing touch to the night with a concert at the refreshment stand in San Roque square.

The program includes activities for the whole family. The little ones will be able to enjoy workshops, children's and youth games, inflatable bouncy castles, and the Children's Play Back in the Tinajo Social Hall. For adults, workshops on empleita, macramé, and self-makeup have been organized, as well as a dessert and liqueur contest.

In the sports section, the regrouping of the XXVIII Rallye Isla de los Volcanes in San Roque square, scheduled for Saturday, August 8, stands out, as well as a zumba session on August 15.

Music will play a leading role during the celebrations. The musical "Ready For The Ride", by The Infinity Dream Events, will be performed on Monday, August 10 in the Tinajo Social Hall. On Wednesday the 12th, the play "El apagón" will be presented at the Municipal Theater, while on Thursday the 13th, the polka battle will be held. On Saturday the 15th, the XXV AMC Timbayba Festival "40 years in the sun" will take place, also in the Social Hall.

One of the most traditional events will be the Romería de la Vendimia (Grape Harvest Pilgrimage), on Saturday, August 8. The day will feature the traditional grape stomping, the Eucharist, and performances by the parrandas Los Labradores, Pal Porrón, Los Gurfines Son del Puerto, Aldaba, and Son de Mar.

The big day of the festivities will be Sunday, August 16, the feast of San Roque. At 6:00 PM, the solemn Eucharist will be celebrated, presided over by the auxiliary bishop of the diocese, Cristóbal Déniz Hernández, followed by the procession accompanied by the Tinajo Music School and the Peña de San Roque band. The day will conclude with a performance by Acatife and a comedy show by humorist Kike Pérez in the Social Hall.

The Councilor for Festivities, Jonatan Pérez Olivero, encourages residents and visitors to participate in festivities with "a very varied program for the whole family."

For his part, the mayor of Tinajo, Jesús Machín, expressed his wish that "everyone can enjoy these festivities in honor of San Roque" and wished happy holidays to all the residents of the municipality.
