Projects that make a difference

The project 'La Tunera. A resource with a future', winner of the first edition of the 'Sustainable Talent Awards', stands out for its novel approach in revaluing the prickly pear, adapted to the island's climate, to innovate in sectors such as food and cosmetics, highlighting the value of local products. This project merges economic diversification with the promotion of the agricultural sector, revitalizing traditional crops and spaces and opening the way to new industries.

With the support of both private collaborators, such as Caixabank, and public collaborators, such as GMR Canarias, the project 'La Tunera. A resource with a future' has already begun to chart its successful path. Its alignment with key Sustainable Development Goals, such as 7 (Affordable and clean energy), 8 (Decent work and economic growth), 9 (Industry, innovation and infrastructure) and 12 (Responsible production and consumption), underscores its commitment to the responsible development of the industry. Originating in a non-profit organization, it is presented as an innovative experience that generates products highly adapted to the market, opening new opportunities for the agricultural industry.
