Inma Sepúlveda with the song 'Así no te amará Jamás' was the brand new winner of the II San Ginés Song Festival 2024 that was held this Thursday night on the stage installed in the José Ramírez Cerdá park. Selene Márquez and Nayara Umpiérrez took second and third prize.
This is an event organized by the Department of Acts and Events of the Arrecife City Council led by Óscar López. Hosted by Carmen Nieves Pérez, the show began with a performance by the dance troupe of the Daniel de La Rosa Dance School, a performance that was highly applauded by the public who thus rewarded the staging by the young dancers. The group gave way to the performance of Altahay de la Guardia, winner of the first edition of the festival in 2023.
Before the contestants began to perform, the members of the jury were announced: Alfonso Duro Cabezón, Rubén Fariñas, Piedad del Río, Toño Aparicio, Besay Pérez, President and Óscar García as secretary.
After the presentation of the jury, the festival machinery was set in motion with the performances of the first 6 participants, 4 women and 2 men. Immediately afterwards, the first guest singer of the night, the young Elieser Betancor, took to the stage, who, accompanied by his guitar, performed three songs receiving the warmth of the public enveloped in applause. Subsequently, the last six participants, all women, took part.
While the jury retired to deliberate, the stage was once again filled with rhythm with the choreographies of the dance troupe of the Daniel de La Rosa Dance School, which gave way to the Tenerife singer Besay Pérez whose powerful registers allow him to perform any musical genre. In his performance, Besay performed well-known songs such as 'A mi Manera', '¿Y cómo es él?', among others.
After Besay Pérez's performance, the most awaited moment arrived for the 12 singers participating in this edition. Before knowing the jury's verdict, all the participants returned to the stage and were given a diploma accrediting their participation.
Inma Sepúlveda received 1,200 euros and a trophy from the mayor of the Arrecife City Council, Yonathan de León. Echedey Eugenio, Deputy Mayor and Councillor for Festivities, presented the prize, 600 euros and a trophy, and Óscar López, Councillor for Acts and Events, presented 300 euros and the trophy to Nayara Umpierrez.
The grand finale of the II San Ginés Song Festival was given by the brand new winner Inma Sepúlveda with the song 'Así no te amará Jamás' which brought the audience to their feet applauding her performance and her prize.
