The Agustín de la Hoz House of Culture hosted a novel concert called 'From the Vihuela to the Timple' last Friday night, by two great masters of music, Benito Cabrera and Carlos Oramas.

During the development of the plucked string concert, the musicians enriched the evening even more, not only the musical part that was interpreted but also in the changes of instruments they explained in detail to the public the historical evolution of each of those used in the concert such as the vihuela, timple, baroque guitar, theorbo. The surprise of the night was the 'Baroque Tiple or tiple guitar', ancestor of the Canarian timple built by the Lanzarote luthier Paco Dorta, an 18th century instrument that is currently unique in the Canary Islands.

The public that filled the allowed capacity enjoyed a unique and very novel concert with a very select repertoire highlighting the variety of instruments used. Benito Cabrera and Carlos Oramas thanked the public for their attention in each of the explanations carried out during the concert and their applause.

The concert organized by the Aceró Cultural Association, had the collaboration of the Department of Culture of the Arrecife City Council directed by Abigail González, the Department of Crafts of the Cabildo de Lanzarote directed by Aroa Revelo, in addition among the attendees was the Councilor for Citizen Participation Cathaysa Suárez.
