The town of Femés dressed up last Sunday to celebrate with deep devotion the traditional festivities in honor of Nuestra Señora del Rosario, an event awaited by neighbors and visitors that filled the streets of this town in southern Lanzarote with life and fervor.

At 6:00 p.m., the historic Church of San Marcial del Rubicón, the temple that houses the patron saint of the island, hosted the Solemn Eucharist presided over by the parish priest of Yaiza, Jonathan Almeida. During the celebration, the liturgical songs were enlivened by a group of friends from Femés who contributed a close and endearing atmosphere with the sounds of timples and guitars, enveloping the ceremony in an atmosphere of reflection and joy.

After the Eucharist, the venerated image of Our Lady of the Rosary was carried in procession through the streets of the town, on a route full of emotion, tradition, and music. The procession was headed by the celebrating parish priest, municipal authorities, with the presence of the mayor of Yaiza, Óscar Noda, accompanied by numerous parishioners, some dressed in the traditional peasant costumes of Lanzarote, thus reaffirming the deep roots and pride in the Canarian traditions.

During the processional route, there was no shortage of warmth from the people or the contagious joy of the musical groups *Parranda Pal Porrón and Los amigos de Femés*, who during the route performed popular Canarian songs, turning the procession into a true manifestation of faith and culture. In the portico of the church, there was an emotional musical offering dedicated to the Virgin, which was received with enthusiasm by those present, culminating in a heartfelt farewell marked by resounding applause and cheers to Our Lady of the Rosary.

The festive day continued in the town square, where locals and visitors were able to share a varied snack, accompanied by the cheerful melodies of the "Grupo Sondemar", which put the musical finishing touch to an unforgettable afternoon.

With this celebration, Femés once again demonstrated that faith, tradition, and music continue to be fundamental pillars of its identity, consolidating festivities that each year renew the commitment of a people to their roots and their Marian devotion.
