La Pantalla Chinija will visit on July 25 at 12:00 the Sala El Aljibe de Haría to screen Mary Anning and the Dinosaur Beach in a new cinema and mediation session for children accompanied by Vicki Dos Santos and promoted by Tenique Cultural.
This is a proposal that understands cinema as a tool for emotional education to offer children spaces for imagination and dialogue, with the collaboration of the youth area of the Cabildo de Lanzarote, the Ayuntamiento de Tías, the Ayuntamiento de Arrecife, the Ayuntamiento de Haría, the Ayuntamiento de San Bartolomé, the Ayuntamiento de Yaiza and the Ayuntamiento de Tinajo.
The proposal invites to discover new ways of relating to cinema. Faced with overstimulation and rapid consumption of content, Tenique Cultural carefully selects each film and turns each session into a space to share emotions, questions and ideas arising from the screening. An experience that offers the opportunity to look, imagine, feel and converse through cinema.
On this occasion, the chosen film is Mary Anning and the Dinosaur Beach, a story inspired by the childhood of the prestigious British paleontologist Mary Anning. The film explores through her adventures themes such as science, nature and the world of dinosaurs. At the same time, it invites children to observe their surroundings, ask questions and develop the desire to better understand the world around them.
After the screening, Vicki Dos Santos will accompany a conversation adapted for children to help the youngest in the room express what they have felt, thought or discovered during the film.
Aimed especially at children from 3 or 4 years old, La Pantalla Chinija is presented as a cultural and family proposal designed to favor children's access to sensitive audiovisual content accompanied by a cultural mediation space that reinforces its vocation to use cinema as a tool for not only cultural but also emotional education.
