Cangrejos Albinos (Albino Crabs), an initiative by the Art, Culture and Tourism Centers of Lanzarote (CACT) in collaboration with Mediaset España, has been nominated in the Current Affairs and Society category of the 8th edition of the iVoox Awards. These awards, considered one of the main references for podcasts in Spanish, recognize the most outstanding projects each year through popular audience voting.
### ### The iVoox Awards 2025
The winners will be determined by popular vote across 14 thematic categories. The most voted projects will obtain an official distinction, prominent promotion on the platform, and visibility for one year.
The Councillor for Tourism Centers, Ángel Vázquez, values "very positively the success of a proposal that has become an essential space for reflection and dialogue in the turbulent times we are living in." He also encourages the public to support an initiative "that links heritage, culture, and thought from a unique enclave in the world such as Jameos del Agua." You can vote at premios.ivoox.com until November 3.
A cultural project from Lanzarote
Cangrejos Albinos (Albino Crabs) is a series of public interviews conceived to foster unhurried conversation and social reflection in a unique setting: Jameos del Agua.
The cycle takes its name precisely from this creature: the tiny “albino crabs” embody the idea of the hidden, of what survives in silence beneath the surface. With that same spirit, the project proposes to stop and listen—calmly and without artifice—to the voices of those who have left their mark in their professional field and in society.
Hosted by journalist Ángeles Blanco, each episode seeks to explore a different human territory—overcoming, creation, communication, and emotion—four complementary dimensions that, when brought together, paint the same landscape: that of experience and shared introspection.
Four Encounters Around the Word
The writer and popularizer Elsa Punset will be in charge of putting the finishing touch to the first edition of Cangrejos Albinos with Educating Emotions. The event will be on October 25, in the Auditorium of the Jameos del Agua.
Cangrejos Albinos 2025 has published three episodes on the iVoox platform:
● Breathing Underwater, with swimmer Gemma Mengual, a dialogue about discipline, demand, and the search for balance in elite sports.
● Cooking the sea, with chef Ángel León, focused on innovation, marine sustainability, and the relationship between creativity and the environment.
● The Remaining Word, with journalist Iñaki Gabilondo, a reflection on the responsibility and legacy of journalism.
