Arrecife vibrates on the second day of the 'Summer Fest' with Beret, Efecto Pasillo and Carlos Jean

This weekend, about 50,000 people have gathered in El Reducto to enjoy the two massive days of the festival and the Euro Cup final match.

The Arrecife Summer Fest has made the people of Lanzarote vibrate on its second day of the festival, in which the concerts of Beret, Efecto Pasillo and Carlos Jean have been celebrated, among other artists who have come to the city.

The capital has experienced a legendary weekend. Nearly 50,000 people have attended between Friday, the first day of the festival and this Sunday to the events that the City Council of Arrecife has organized on the beach of El Reducto and in the Parque Islas Canarias, as elements of the strategy to boost and relaunch the capital of Lanzarote as the epicenter of events on the island.

El Reducto beach experienced two massive days this Friday and Saturday with the celebration of the second edition of the Arrecife Summer Fest, a festival promoted and organized directly by the Department of Tourism and Commerce of the City Council of Arrecife with concerts and leisure activities for the whole family.

El Reducto beach, which has premiered a renovated pedestrian promenade this summer, and the Parque Islas Canarias, both places on the maritime front of Arrecife, have received the assistance of more than 25,000 people, between both days to vibrate with the musical performances of Efecto Pasillo, Ray Castellano, Beret and Carlos Jean, who together with local groups and prominent Canarian DJs made the crowd dance.

Arrecife Summer Fest has as guest artists and groups in this second edition, with a family approach, has as guests artists such as Beret, Efecto Pasillo, Carlos Jean, Rey Castellano, Tatiana Delalvz, along with the fun and entertainment of Treintaytantos and the DJs, Abián Reyes, Ledes Díaz, Cz, Ale Ossorio, Javi Fajardo and Carlos Chavaud.

In addition to the workshops, families have been able to participate in different workshops in the morning and afternoon. One of the booths where the queues were very long allowed to be made up by great makeup professionals.

The Municipal Government group with vision and success, for the "high results" of participation, programmed the agenda of the Arrecife Summer Fest this week of July that has been reinforced in the calendar by the dates of celebration of the Euro Cup, which has allowed that all this weekend, between Friday and Sunday, the capital of Lanzarote lived its first legendary weekend, with the attendance of 50,000 people, between the three days, which have contributed to Arrecife revive as the capital of leisure and events in Lanzarote.

Yonathan de León, who has been present at the celebrations of these three days, including the proclamation of the Valterra festivities, has emphasized, as a balance of the success, that the city "already stands out as the epicenter of dynamization on the island. The programming that we set a year ago when I acceded to the mayoralty, reflects that these events generate returns in the economic and social impact for Arrecife".

Yonathan de León has also highlighted that this year of commemoration of the 225th anniversary of the founding of the municipality of Arrecife, "our city promotes the quality of the events, the places of celebration linked to our port origin and next to the tide, and something special that I am satisfied as mayor: the citizens are rediscovering the public spaces, which we are pampering and putting in value with modernization works".

The Councilor for Tourism, Commerce and Sports, Eli Merino, has valued in an "extraordinary way the great dynamization" that has been achieved for Arrecife during these three consecutive days, where the planning, strategy and successful work of her Department has allowed Arrecife to experience a "vitalizing activity that supports the sectors of tourism, leisure, commerce and restoration, among others, creating synergies to strengthen employment and local SMEs that work in these local economic sectors".

Eli Merino has stressed that the celebration of the Arrecife Summer Fest last year has allowed us to "profile the approach to revitalize the city" with the organization of events on this island. "This year we have set as scenarios the Parque Islas Canarias and the beach of El Reducto, where families, in the morning, afternoon or evening, can enjoy outdoors, and next to the sea, these musical activities"; he added.

Arrecife will organize the third edition of the Arrecife Summer Fest for 2025, according to the mayor and the councilor of the City Council of Arrecife, Yonathan de León and Eli Merino.
