The José Ramírez Cerdá Park hosted a new and brilliant edition of ‘Tierra con Talento II’, the great ‘Talent Show’ of San Ginés that brought together 14 contestants and more than a hundred guests in a gala marked by the artistic quality of the participants and the enthusiasm of the numerous audience.
The first three awards corresponded to the singing category. The first prize, endowed with 600 euros, went to Francisco Manuel Caballero, for his interpretation of ‘En cambio no’; the second prize, with 400 euros, went to Gianlucca García, who performed ‘Nessun dorma’; while the third prize, endowed with 200 euros, went to Claudia del Rosario, for her interpretation of ‘Garganta con arena’.
“Quality”
The deputy mayor, Echedey Eugenio, congratulated “both the organization and the participants for the quality of the proposals presented” and in this regard underlined: “This second edition has once again shown that Arrecife, Lanzarote and the Canary Islands have a youth full of talent, creativity and enormous artistic potential, he points out.
“From the Arrecife City Council, we want to continue generating spaces where our young people can show what they know how to do, feel valued and find opportunities to continue growing,” adds Echedey Eugenio, who highlights “the involvement of all the people who made this magnificent gala possible and, especially, the effort and dedication of the 14 participants who took the stage”.
Live painting
In addition to the monetary prize, Francisco Manuel Caballero received as a special recognition a painting alluding to the contest made by the artist Iván Tempera, who painted the work live and in reverse while the show was taking place. The piece was thus incorporated into the awards ceremony as a unique artistic recognition to the winner of this second edition.
The gala was presented by Raúl Maro and Lula Guedes, artists with experience in major musical productions such as ‘Hoy no me puedo levantar’, ‘Priscilla, reina del desierto’ and ‘We Will Rock You’. While the jury deliberated, both offered the audience different musical interpretations of well-known hits by artists and groups such as Madonna and Mecano, prolonging the entertainment on stage until the final verdict was announced.
MT Dance School
The organization of the event was in charge of Ayose Medina and Tatiana Niz, from the MT Dance School, who were precisely the ones in charge of opening the gala with a performance. During the show, a representation of one of the MT Dance groups also performed, a group that was proclaimed winner of the first edition of ‘Tierra con Talento’ held last year and which returned to the San Ginés stage to once again share all its artistic talent with the Arrecife public.
The participants demonstrated their aptitudes in disciplines such as singing, dancing, magic, circus, and other artistic manifestations. The gala also incorporated different exhibitions of contortionism, aerial hoops, and pole dance, consolidating itself as one of the proposals in the San Ginés Festivals program aimed at giving prominence to new artistic talents.
