The Arrecife Fairgrounds were filled this Tuesday with Carnival to enjoy the music of the Tenerife band Nueva Línea and the Dominican Miriam Cruz. One of the highlights of the festival program of the Arrecife City Council department headed by the deputy mayor of the city, Echedey Eugenio.

A Carnival of Arrecife that this Ash Wednesday will come to an end with the Burial of the Sardine and the Pejín, which will depart from 6 p.m. from the City Hall to El Reducto where the burning of the deceased female and the deceased male will take place. The Afilarmónica Los Simplones, as winners of the adult murga contest, will be in charge of bringing Doña Sardina to the pyre, while Noveleros, as winners of the children's murga contest, will do the same with El Pejín.

Both groups will therefore participate in a parade in which the presence of the six floats awarded during the parade last Monday is also planned, as well as many other Carnival groups and a considerable number of cheerful widows who will cry throughout the Burial with the only consolation of knowing that it is now less time until the Arrecife Carnival 2027 begins.
