The Arrecife City Council has already begun the round of visits to the rehearsal venues of the different groups that are going to participate in the Carnival of the capital of Lanzarote.

This is a regular round, but it starts much earlier than in previous years, in order not to hinder the work of the groups in the days prior to the start of the different competitions.

With this initiative, the mayor Yonathan de León, the Councilor for Festivities, Echedey Eugenio, and the rest of the councilors, continue to take steps in the commitment acquired with all the artistic groups that are part of the rich carnival tradition of the third capital of the Canary Islands.

During the first stop, which took place at the rehearsal venue of the street band Los Desahuciados, the mayor expressed his enthusiasm for the start of these visits, stating that "the Arrecife Carnival is an emblematic event that reflects the identity and festive spirit of our city. We are working to ensure that these festivities are what the capital of Lanzarote deserves."

For his part, Echedey Eugenio, highlighted the importance of planning and professionalization in the organization of carnivals. "We have taken concrete measures to raise the level of our carnivals. In October, we held working tables with all the carnival groups and associations, where it was agreed to work on a planned, professionalized carnival with international projection. That is our goal and to achieve it we have all the groups."

The working days, promoted by the Department of Festivities last October, are a clear example of the joint effort between the City Council and the groups to enhance the quality and projection of the Arrecife Carnival.

The capital's Government Group will continue with the rest of the visits over the next few weeks.
