The Deputy Mayor of the Arrecife City Council and Head of the Festivities Area, Echedey Eugenio, has expressed his sincere gratitude to the citizens for the massive participation in the events organized on the occasion of the San Juan festivities, held this Sunday, June 23.
The event, which brought together approximately 20,000 people throughout the day, became an unforgettable day for residents and visitors who gathered on Reducto beach. From eleven in the morning until midnight, attendees enjoyed a varied program of activities for all ages, gastronomy and music, culminating with the traditional popular barbecue of pineapples and sardines and the spectacular burning of the San Juan bonfire.
“The response from the citizens has been extraordinary and has made this celebration a true success”, said Echedey Eugenio. “We are very proud to have recovered such a popular festival and to see the great reception it has had”.
Echedey Eugenio has also highlighted the importance of these festivals for boosting the city and the economic movement they generate. “This type of event not only strengthens the social and cultural fabric of Arrecife, but also boosts our local economy, benefiting numerous businesses and establishments”, he said.
The Deputy Mayor has also highlighted the extensive deployment of the cleaning service that has been carried out so that the city was perfect today. “Thanks to the staff of the Department of Cleaning, led by Jacobo Lemes, Arrecife woke up clean after such an intense day”.
