The workers of the Administration of Justice in Lanzarote have gathered at 11.30 this Wednesday in front of the judicial building in Arrecife within the framework of the national general strike suffered by this sector.
During the concentration, a brief statement was read in which the officials explained the reasons for the protest.
The first day of this indefinite strike began on Monday, April 17. Among the demands, they ask for the paralysis of the parliamentary processing of the Organic Law of Organizational Efficiency as well as a salary increase.
This increase would start from the increase of the general complement of the position, until reaching an agreement between all the general and special bodies, as well as the elimination of the salary differences and adapting them all to those perceived by group 1 of officials of the Administration of Justice, according to the unions in a statement.
In this sense, they have given a deadline until "before the end of this legislature" to publish a royal decree that establishes the criteria and minimum amounts of the professional career supplement that will be delimited after "a prior collective negotiation".
This strike is added to the one carried out by the lawyers of the Administration of Justice for two months and that concluded after the Ministry of Justice accepted part of their demands.
"If the Ministry considered that their claims were fair, imagine the rest of the general bodies that are the ones that finally do the work", revealed the unions CSIF, CCOO, STAJ and UGT in a joint statement.
